全国公共英语等级考试二级和英语四级的区别？
全国公共英语等级考试二级和 英语四级的区别如下：
首先：两者定位不一样。全国公共英语等级考试二级是PETS2，通过该级考试的考生，其英语水平基本满足进入高等院校继续学习的要求，同时也基本符合诸如宾馆前台服务员、一般银行职员、涉外企业一般员工，以及同层次其他工作在对外交往中的基本需要。该级考生应能在熟悉的情景中进行简单对话。相当于普通高中优秀毕业生的英语水平（此级别笔试合格成绩可替代自学考试专科阶段英语（一）、文凭考试基础英语考试成绩）。英语四级（CET四级）是由我国教育部高等教育司组织的全国统一的单科性标准化教学考试，全国高校的大学英语考试。
其次：考试内容不一样。从题型上，PETS有口语考试，CET没有。PETS从各级别交际能力考察的实际需要出发设置题型，主要有：客观性试题——多项选择、选择配伍；半客观性试题——改错、填空、简单概括；主观性试题——短文写作、翻译、口试。
最后：社会性质不一样。从社会认可上，由于PETS是由国家教育部推出，它所具有的权威性无可置疑。而且，教育部正在大力推广这种考试，并使之成为我国所有用人单位衡量英语专业人士英语水平的唯一标准，社会考生不能报考大学英语四六级。
TIPS:PETS三级大体相当于CET四级，PETS四级大体相当于CET六级，PETS五级标准相当于我国大学英语专业二年级结束时的水平。
